Flint made it a double over their Mid-Walian rivals for the first time at Cae y Castell with a resounding 41-13 bonus point win. Llanidloes turned up with a squad of 17 players but no front row replacement so were unable to field their subs as league rules state that they must have front row replacements if subs are to be used.  To make matters worse for the travelling Mid-Walians, one of their Props pulled his hamstring in the warm up. The game had to start and continue with uncontested scrums, this being very unfortunate for the stronger pack of forwards as it defused the strength game, the weaker pack guaranteed themselves parity in the scrums. Despite this handicap Flint stuck to their task and eventually cracked them early into the 2nd half with a quartet of ties in 15 minutes, although Flint took their foot off the peddle letting Llanidloes in for 2 late unconverted consolation tries.

Flint opened the game early when the electrified running of Inside Center Matt Harvey dodged and weaved his way over for the first of his hat trick of tries after 2 minutes, converted by Fly-Half Tom Prydderch 7-0. Unfortunately, pulled hamstrings seemed to be the fashionable injury of the day; Flint Winger Ryan Tyrone had to retire from the game just after the first score, replaced by the youthful Sam Lewsey, Flints first score was quickly followed by their second, from successive forward drives Second Row Josh Moss forced his way over for a converted try, 14-0. After scoring 2 quick tries early on, Flint fell back a bit and let Llanidloes back in the game giving away penalties, eventually Llanidloes slotted one to make the score 14-3. Prydderch managed to kick a penalty of his own to make it 17-3 going into the break. Although the first half was dominated by technical indiscipline, there was some good displays by Flint, notably by the halfbacks. New scrum half Ryan Beck is coming to his own commanding his position, playing intelligently through his communication with his forwards, ball skills and vision and also Fly-Half Prydderch who is a handful to any back line with his determined running and ferocious tackling. 

After a halftime talk about cutting out the penalties and building up phases, Flint made one change bringing on Damian Goss to full back. They then took to their task and produced a purple patch of rugby that blew their opposition away. Center Harvey completed his hat trick with 2 more excellent tries, out pacing his opposite numbers and Prydderch capping a tremendous game with 2 tries of his own and 2 more conversations 41-3. With the job done Flint rang the changes; Dayvd Goss, Tom Mcfarland and Gareth Saunders all came on to finish the game. Unfortunately, Flint took the pressure off and due to the uncontested scrums the Llanidloes forwards were still lively and scored 2 late tries. Final score 41-13. 

With it being an Old Boys day, they had the task of awarding the Old Boys MOM tankard. They narrowed it down to Flanker Jamie Elder for his tiresome work rate, Center Harvey for his 3 tries, Fly-Half Prydderch for his tenacious running and defending but eventually deservedly awarding it to Scrum-Half Beck for his all round performance.
